Connecting Between MD-N32 & AC-215

Hardware Requirements

! Standard LAN cable - RJ45 plugs in both sides.

! Rosslare's MD-14.

! Rosslare's MD-N32 (only one unit required).

! Rosslare's AC-215.

Notes

1. The next connection instructions relates to an example of connecting

one unit of Rosslare's AC-215 to one unit of MD-N32.

The AC-215 is managed by a PC, running Rosslare's VeriTrax

PC S/W. This PC has to connected to the same LAN which the

MD-N32 was connected.

2. Before setting – ask your

network administrator for one, free IP

Addresses and subnet mask, which has to be used here.

Connections

1. Connect the MD-N32 to the LAN by using the LAN cable through the

RJ-45 connector. Make sure that the LINK LED (Green) is on.

2. Connect the AC-215's RS-485 outlet to Rosslare's MD-14 (RS485 to

RS-232 Converter) .

Connect the DB9 jack of the MD-14 to the DB9 jack of the MD-N32.

Note :

Make sure that J1 is set to RS485 Mode. If you make any

changes, resetting the AC-215 is necessary.
